DAIRY COMMISSION CHAIRMAN
Associates Honour Mr Marshall (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 1. Leaders of the dairy industry today paid tribute to the chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Products Marketing Commission (Mr W. Marshall) who, they said, had played the outstanding role in dairy industry affairs in the last 20 years. Mr Marshall will leave for Britain next Tuesday on commission business, and will not return till after his term as chairman of the commission expires on July 31. He presided today for the last time as chairman at a meeting of the commission and later at a joint meeting of the commission and the Dairy Board. On behalf of members of the commission. Sir Bernard Ashwin made him a presentation. To-night Mr and Mrs Marshall were guests at a dinner given by the commission. Tomorrow Mr Marshall will be the guest at a function to be attended by representatives of the Wool Commission, the’ Wool Board, the Meat Producers’ Bo ■" •’ and the Apple and Pear Board.
