(N.Z. Press (Rec. 8 p.m.)

ESSEN (West Germany), May 1 Archie Moore, the world light heavy-weight boxing champion, outpointed Hans Kalbfell (Germany) in a 10-round non-title fight at Essen today.

Although giving away height and reach, Moore was nw.ster of the situation throughout, and for eight rounds appeared to be boxing at haff pace. The German, ranked third among West German heavy-weights, was down in the fourth round from a sharp one-two attack to the head and body, but he quickly rose. During the last two rounds the American speeded up and a punishing body blow put Kalbfell down for eight in the ninth round.
