Messages Sent From Plane

(Rec. 11 p.m.) CAIRO, April 28. The Egyptian Governmentsponsored Middle East News Agency, in a report from Damascus, said that King Hussein would return to Amman today. The agency was reported to have said that King Hussein sent a message from the plane to General Habes Mejali, his Chief of Staff, and to Deputy-Chief of Staff, General Sadzk el Sharaa, asking them to keep complete order and security in Jordan while he was in Saudi Arabia. He also sent a message from the plane to the Saudi envoy in Amman. Ahmed Koheymi, the report said. The agency, according to Reuter, quoted a Syrian Foreign Ministry communique as saying Egypt Syria and Saudi Arabia would be in permanent contact to watch the Jordan situation in the light of Arab national policy. The communique, issued following the talks between Syria’s President, Shukri el Kuwatly. President Nasser, and King Saud, added: “The Syrian delegation’s talks dealt with Arab affairs and particularly the Jordan situation, which is tied up with the national policy of the three Arab States. Jordan’s independence is one of the foundations of this policy.”
