Y.W.C.A. BOARD MEETING
No Camp In May Holidays It was not possible to arrange a “stay-at-home” holiday camp during the May holidays, it was reported at a meeting of the directors of the Young Women’s Christian Association yesterday. Two new members were welcomed to the board. Mesdames H. P. Wise and C. ( Cameron. Mrs W. Dailey was granted leave of absence until the end of the year. It was stated that Mrs F. M. Mitchell had recovered from her illness and would be present at the next meeting. A committee, with Mrs C. £.
Anderson as convener, was formed to organise the Y.W.C.A. stall at the Industries Fair on May 10. The following delegates will attend the national convention, to be held at Auckland from May 16 to May 23: Mesdames I. T. Woolf and Bruce White (National Board members), Miss C. E. Robinson (president), Miss B. J. Hardie (general secretary), and Miss E. Cook (programme secretary). The president and the national board members met Dr. Una Porter, the world Y.W.C.A. vice-pre-sident. who represented Australia and New Zealand, when she was on her way to Geneva by air from Melbourne.
