MURDER ATTEMPT ALLEGED
Remand In Picton Case
(New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, April 29. Henry White, of Kent street, Picton, a slaughterman, aged 60, appeared before Messrs C. H. Kingsley and P. S. Crisp, Justices of the Peace, in the Magistrate’s Court at Blenheim this morning, charged that at Picton, on Saturday, April 27. he attempted to murder Louise White, aged 46. On the application of the police, he was remanded in custody until May 14. The condition of Mrs White and Miss Leia Coghlan. aged 20, of Nelson, who were admitted to the Wairau Public Hospital on Saturday evening, suffering from bullet wounds, remains satisfactory.
