NORTH BRIGHTON IMPROVEMENTS
Residents’ Views To Be Obtained
North New Brighton residents are to be consulted by the City Council before it makes a decision on the erection of dressing sheds at the beach. Associated with the erection of bathing sheds was the question of the future of the Peace Memorial Hall, which, it had been suggested, should be redesigned for use as a community centre, the finance committee told the council last evening. As there was some diversity of opinion in the district, the council agreed to arrange a public meeting, at which interested councillors will be present, to test the feeling and ascertain what support there would be for the community centre project
