ANZAC SERVICE IN NEW YORK

(N.Z. Press Association—. Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 28. Two hundred members of the Australian and New Zealand communities in New York attended an Anzac Day remembrance service today. The ceremony was held at the Anzac garden of remembrance, in a wing of the British Empire Building in Rockefeller Centre. The address was given by Mr T. P. Davin, the New Zealand Consul-General, who, noting that Australians and New Zealanders had fought and died in the Middle East and Europe, expressed hope for peace in those areas. The Australian Consul-General (Sir Josiah Francis) read a requiem. Representatives of other British Commonwealth nations and the United States armed services attended.
