Bomb Tests In May

(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, April 24. The diplomatic correspondent of the “Sunday Express” said today that the hydrogen bomb tests at Christmas Island would start any day after May 16. From two to five bombs would be exploded, and if conditions were ideal, the whole series might be completed by the end of May, he said. If scientists got all the answers they wanted from the first two explosions the others might not be needed, the correspondent said.
