Yearling’s Swab Negative

Tests of the swab taken from the Local Light—Blue Revue yearling colt which established a world record of 2min 9 l-ssec for one mile at Addington on April 6 have proved negative, according to advice received by the New Zealand Trotting Conference. The conference Mas written to the United States Trotting Association asking what form the certificate concerning the record attempt should take. When this ’nformation is received. application will be made to the association for recognition of the time as a world record. The time trial was run under conditions laid down by the United States association so that there should be no difficulty in gaining recognition of the time. The conference has also been advised that the swab taken from the Rattray Stakes winner. Tactician, proved negative.
