PARAPARAUMU EXTENSIONS
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 26. Plans for modifying Paraparaumu airfield to provide a satisfactory alternative to Rongotai for modern aircraft had been prepared, said the Minister in charge of Civil Aviation (Mr T. P. Shand). The development of this airport is considered necessary as a “longterm A new lay-out for the runway is now shown on the draft regional and district scheme e for the area. The total cost of the runway, including the land, will be between £750,000 and £1 million.
