Overseas Exchange Improvement

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 26.

The New Zealand Bureau of Importers congratulates the Government on the satisfactory improvement in the overseas exchange position, in a statement issued today. “The exchange improvement shows that the credit and other controls have been operating in the interests of the country,” the bureau says. “However, as the improvement looks to to be a continuing one, it is hoped that the Government will see fit to relax still further the controls and regulations which are hampering and proving an embarrassment to many sections of trade.”
