Butter Advertisement Wins Award
(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, April 26. The Butter Information Council’s advertisement, “Real Butter,” designed by J. Walter Thompson, the firm which also handles publicity for the Cheese Bureau and the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, won the group “A” competition for food, drink, tobacco and confectionery in the annual Layton awards.
The object of these awards is to promote and encourage the improvement of press advertising techniques. The council’s advertisement shows an egg and four pieces of bread thickly spread with butter. The caption is: “Fresh eggs deserves real butter.”
