Bob Howe, had a fairly easy win ’n the fourth round of the men’s singles in the Sutton lawn tennis tournament today. He beat Colin Hannam (Britain), 6-4, 9-7. In the same round Oliver Prenn beat the New Zealand No. 4, Peter Nicholls, 6-8, 6-3, 6-4 In the Connaught Club’s tournament at Chingford, Essex, the former Wimbledon champion, J aroslav Drobny, beat 21-year-old Peter Frankland, of Sydney, in the fourth round of the men’s singles. Drobny won 6-0, 6-0. In the same round of the women s singles two New Zealanders, including the champion, Miss Ruia Morrison, made their exit. Miss Joan Curry beat Miss Morrison, 6-1, 6-3, and Miss C. Truman beat Mrs H. Robson, 6-0, 6-0.
