RECORD WINNER LEAVES QUIZ

(N.Z. Press Association Copyright) NEW YORK, April 25. Ten-year-old Robert Strom, the United States record television quiz show winner* gave up on Wednesday night, having won 192.000 dollars.

Robert, who had answered questions in different scientific fields for many weeks on the programme, “The 64,000-dollar Question,” broke the record for quiz show winning last week. It was not much of a strain on Robert, his father said, but it was a terrific strain on his mother and father. Robert, who will get his winnings in three annual instalments, deposited in a trust fund, was asked by the programme compere how he felt about quitting the show. He replied: “Well—what can you do with parents?”
