ELIZABETH EDMONDS RECOMMENDS CHOCOLATE CAKE
4oz Butter; Boz sugar; 2 teaspoons golden syrup; 2 teacups milk; 1 level teaspoon soda; lOoz flour; 1 teaspoon EDMONDS CAKE BAKING POWDER; 2 teaspoons cocoa; 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Cream butter and sugar; add golden syrup dissolved in one teacup of warm milk. Add sifted ingredients, then soda dissolved in other teacup of milk. Put into two greased sandwich tins (8 inch). Bake 30-40 minutes at 375 deg. F. When cold, ice with chocolate icing and fill with mock cream. sS # $ There are many interesting recipes which can be used with EDMONDS CAKE BAKING POWDER which is obtainable from your grocer in both 4oz and 14oz tins.
