NO TRACE OF CLIMBER
Ruapehu Search Continues (New , Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 23 A further extensive search on the slopes of Mount Ruapehu today failed to reveal any trace of the young climber, Egon Lehner, who has been missing since last Saturday morning. The searchers will be reinforced by a number of volunteers, and 10 Army signalmen, when the search is resumed tomorrow. Today, parties searched from Restful rocks, about 8000 feet up the mountain, down to the bush line on the western side of the mountain. Another party, comprising New Zealand Forest Service men from Ohakune and Karioi, went into the Makatote valley for some distance from the TaumarunuiOhakune road. A snowfall on the Whakapapa glacier this morning lasting for three hours made conditions difficult for the party operating in that area.
