Sydney Show Wood-chopping.— A Victorian policeman. Jack O’Toole, won the world championship hard-hitting wood-chopping event at the Sydney Royal Show today for the second year in succession. O’Toole took 23 strokes to cut through the 12in standing block. Last year he took 19 strokes. Another world championship wood-chopping event, the 15in underhand cut, was won by C. J. Mavis, of New South Wales. —Sydney, April 23.
