HIGHLAND GAMES IN HASTINGS
Record Attendance (New Zealand Press Association) HASTINGS, April 22. More than 31,000 persons have attended Highland games events in Hastings this Easter. This is the estimate of games officials, who believe that all previous attendance records have been broken. The attendance figures are based on a crowd estimated at 10,000 on Saturday, 7500 at the massed bands’ disf>lay yesterday, and 2000 at the skatng events last night, and approximately 12,000 at Windsor Park today.
