Pakistan Team Now Due In June The New 'Zealand Hockey Association has received a cablegram from Pakistan saying that the Pakistan team is likely to arrive in New Zealand about a month later than was originally planned. . “The team was originally to begin its New Zealand tour on May 8, but because of dislocation of shipping movements as a result of the Suez Canal crisis, the team will now have to fly,” said the secretary of the New Zealand Association (Mr W. H. Down) last evening. “We now expect that the team will reach New Zealand about the middle of June.” The team will make a 10 weeks’ tour of New Zealand, playing 30 matches, including three test matches. Eight members of the Pakistan team, which reached the final at the Olympic Games at Melbourne last year, are included in the side. “As soon as we receive definite information from Pakistan that air bookings have been made, we will be able io announce the exact date of arrival of the team,” said Mr Down.
