Pilgrims’ Association Junior Group

The committee of the Canterbury Pilgrims’ and Early Settlers’ Association recently appointed a sub-committee of junior members to arrange functions for members of the association who are still attending post-primary schools. All members of the sub-committee are under 18 years of age, and an endeavour was made to have each school represented. The sub-committee is: chairman, Helen Rollinson; secretary, Helen Peate; treasurer, Wendy Alston; committee, Patricia Wallace, Joseph Studholme, Richard Trolove, John Packard, Anthony Lee, and one to be appointed. The sub-committee seeks to arouse interest among junior members and schools in the aims of the association and the early history of the province. An intermediate group has also been formed, for those between 18 and 25.
