COCKTAIL PARTY

The Selwyn House Parent-Teacher Association held a very pleasant and successful cocktail party at Selwyn House yesterday to raise funds with which to provide the school with a film projector. The chairman of the association (Mr Somers W. Cox) and Mrs Cox received the guests, who included many visitors from country districts. Proof of the interest of parents and friends in the school was the number of generous donations received before and during the party. The association, which was founded a years ago, last year raised funds with which to buy a good stock of books for the school library and yesterday’s gathering was the first of a series which the association hopes to arrange to provide extra equipment for the school.
