WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FEDERATED FARMERS

Swannanoa.—Mrs Davis presided over the monthly meeting of the Swannanoa branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. One new member was welcomed. The president was asked to deliver the quilt made by members of the branch out of peggy squares for the Boys Town in Manila. Competitions resulted as follows Peaches: Mrs Catherwood 1, Mrs Davis 2, Mrs C. Winter 3. Kisses: Mrs Catherwood 1. Single bloom: Mrs Davis 1, Mrs Catherwood 2, Mrs Stevenson 3. Cluster: Mrs Winter 1, Mrs Davis 2, Mrs Stevenson 3.

Omlhi.—Mrs Harrison presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Omlhi branch. Mrs A. Croft gave a report on the federation meeting held at Waipara. Members enjoyeT a cakeicing demonstration by Mrs D. Croft. Results of competitions were:—Large bloom: Mrs Brown 1. Mrs Burrows 2. Small bloom: Mrs Burrows 1 and 2. Hot water bag cover: Mrs Harris 1 and 2. Tomato sauce: Miss A. Stackhouse 1, Mrs Home 2. Largest marrow: Mrs Horne. Largest pumpkin: Mrs G. McLean .1, Mrs Home 2. Decoration of berries and autumn leaves in flat container: Mrs Harris 1 and 2.
