YORKSHIRE LEADS IN COUNTY MATCHES

Yorkshire now have 122 points from 15 games, against V/arwickshire’s 120 points. Middlesex, which had no fixture, is in third place with 104 points. Results:— Glamorgan.—First innings 232 for eight declared (Tyson five for 54); second innings 212 for four declared. Northamptonshire—First innings 127; second innings 100 (Woolier five for 15, Watkins four for 20). Glamorgan won by 217 runs. Derbyshire—First innings 213 (Hamer 81); second innings 85 (James five for 31, Wood four for 23). Sussex—First innings 148 (Cato four for 18); second innings 74 (Jackson five for 30). Derbyshire won by 76 runs. Yorkshire—First innings 361 for five declared (Lester 142); second innings 121 for eight declared. Surrey—First Innings 210; second Innings 218 (Illingworth eight for 69).
