Sir Charles Hercus, dean of the Otago Medical School, arrived at Auckland by air from Sydney yesterday afternoon. Sir Charles Hercus attended a meeting of the advisory committee of the Life Insurance Medical Research Fund in Australia.—(P.A.)
Mr J. G. Beevor, managing director of the Commonwealth Development Finance Company, who is now in Rhodesia on the start of a comprehensive Commonwealth tour, hopes to visit New Zealand in November, says the “Financial Times.”—London, July 6.
Mr G. R. Bedford was elected a life inember of the Courtenay Agricultural and Pastoral Association at the annual meeting at Kirwee recently.
