(UNLICENSED LIQUCR AGENTS AND BONDED WAREHOUSES.) PUBLIC INQUIRY UNDER LICENSING ACT, 1908, and AMENDMENTS (FINAL SITTINGS)
THE LICENSING CONTROL COMMISSION WILL HOLD the FINAL PUBLIC SITTINGS at its BOARD ROOM, WELLINGTON, commencing 10 a.m., TUESDAY, JULY 27, and CONTINUING on JULY 28, 1954, to hear FURTHER EVIDENCE and FINAL SUBMISSIONS upon the following matters for inquiry referred to it under Sectipn 13 of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1948 (as amended by s. 27 of the Licensing Amendment (No. 2) Act, 1953):—
“(a) On the practice* of using what are commonly referred to as ‘UNLICENSED AGENTS’ for receiving orders for the sale ahd supply of liquor and transmitting them to licensees, including the extent of the practice and its general effect. “(b) The extent and effect of the use of BONDED WAREHOUSES as places from which liquor is or ihay be sold ’ and delivered directly to a purchaser whether or not he is the holder of a licence under the Licensing Act. “AND to make such recommendations for amendment of the law as the Commission may consider advisable.” THE COMMISSION REQUESTS that all persons (including licensees, bodies, and organisations) desirous of making final submissions or giving evidence, NOTIFY THIS OFFICE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, stating whether they desire to appear and be heard.
