WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FEDERATED FARMERS
Brooklands.—Mrs Cox presided at the monthly meeting of the Brooklands branch. The delegate to the annual conference in July will be Mrs Cox. Mrs Duffield was the winner of a competition. Competition results were as follows sewing: Mrs Duffield 1, Mrs Green 2. Cooking: Mrs Simmons 1, Mrs Tebay 2. Decorative: Mesdames Macleod 1, Duffield and Heidford (equal) 2. Small bloom: Mesdames Black 1, Tebay, Mclntock, Duffield, and Macleod (equal) 2. Large bloom: Mrs Simnjons 1, Mrs Maclntock 2. Spike: Mrs Simmons 1, Mrs Tebay 2. Motukarara,f-The monthly meeting of the Motukarara branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers took the form of an afternoon social. Mrs J. Miller, secretary of the branch for the past eight years, Mrs Hubbard, who is leaving the district; and Miss L. Wheeler, who is to be married soon, were the guests of honour. Shuttleworth presided over the monthly meeting of the Southbrook-Flaxton branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. An invitation was accepted to attend the birthday party of the Amberley branch. Birthday sprays were presented to Mrs L. Koikman and Mrs Taylor, jun. Miss Jean Smith gave a talk on a visit to the Bay of Plenty district. Competitions resulted as follows:—Monthly competition: Mrs C. Koikman. Belfast.—Mrs Gower presided over a small attendance afr the monthly meeting of the Belfast branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs Murfet in her illness. Mrs Deavol reported on the school for officers held recently, and Mrs Henry on the drama school she attended at Rangiora.
