CRUTCHINGS SALE AT DUNEDIN
PRICES ON PAR WITH THOSE AT TIMARU (P.A.) DUNEDIN, August 23. The official report of the Dunedin Stock Agents’ and Woolbrokers’ Association on to-day’s sale of crutchings, issued in conjunction with the New Zealand Woolbuyers’ Association and the New Zealand Wool Disposal Commission, says that prices were on a par with those ox the Timaru sale. No doubt because of uncertainty in the market brought about by the return of the New Zealand pound to parity with sterling, there were more passings than usual and buyers were cautious. _ A small amount of new fleece was offered but was mostly passed and sola after auction. . _ All the 473 bales of stock wool offered on account of the New Zealand Wool Disposals Commission was sold.
