WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION
Redcliffs.—Mrs Palmer presided at the I monthly meeting of the Redcliffs branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. It was decided to send a donation to the headquarters building fund. Mrs Palmer was appointed delegate to the division conference, to be held in Wei-1 lington in July. The guest speaker. Mrs Moginie. gave an interesting talk on modern books. The competition results were as follows:—wandering shilling: Mrs Trus-| cott. Article made with cardboard foun- I dation: Miss Gates 1, Mrs Barker 2, Mrs Taylor 3. Bowl of berries: Mrs Dowler 1. Miss Andrews 2, Mrs Taylor 3. Papanui-Waimairi.—Mrs S. F. Marshall I presided at the monthly meeting of the Papanui-Waimairi branch of the Women’s I Division of the Farmers’ Union. It was decided to give £5 to the headquarters building fund. Mrs Lund showed an interesting collection of thrift articles. Brisk business was done at the "bring and buy’’ stall. The monthly competition results were a follows:—tumbler of flowers: Mrs Reynolds 1. Mrs Henderson 2. Single bloom: Mrs Mcßeath 1. Mrs Henderson 2 Cluster bloom: Mrs Mcßea.th 1, Mrs Nicholls 2.
