SIAMESE KING’S DEATH
DECISION OF BOARD OF INQUIRY
(Rec. 8 p.m.) BANGKOK, June 26. The young King Ananda Mahidol died on June 9 either because of assassination, accident, or suicide, accerding to the findings of the board of inquiry which reached its decisions practically unanimously. The board will hold a public session to-morrow. Earlier the Bangkok correspondent of the Associated Press said that medical evidence studied by a board of 18 physicians supported, to a considerable extent, the suspicion that King Ananda Mahidol was the victim of an assassin. The board which had been investigating the mysterious circumstances of the young King’s death was expected to return a report to this effect.
“The exact details of the report will not be revealed until it is in the hands of the authorities,” said the correspondent. “The finding was reached in the course of a two-days’ investigation, including a close examination of King Ananda’s body, tests on corpses, and the study of X-ray photographs. The doctors included one British doctor, one American, one Indian, and 15 Siamese.”
