CHRISTCHURCH VISIT NEXT WEEK
A small change in the arrangements for the visit to Christchurch next week of the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, and Lady Freyberg, was notified to the City Council yesterday. Their Excellencies will now travel from Lyttelton to Christchurch by motor-car instead of by train on Tuesday morning, and the Mayor (Mr E. H. Andrews), the Mayoress (Mrs Hardy Cookson) and the Town Clerk (Mr H. S. Feast) will make a formal cal] on them at 10 a.m> The Mayor and Mayoress will lunch with their Excellencies. While in Christchurch their Excellencies will stay at the Clarendon Hotel.
