DELIVERY OF MAILS

Sir,—Regarding “X-Civil Servant’s” complaint about delivery of letters and parcels to Dunedin, I have had the same trouble. On Wednesday, June 12, I posted at Sydenham Post Office a small parcel no larger than an ordinary letter, the postal fee being 3d, at 10.30 a.m. It was not delivered to the Dunedin address until the following Tuesday, June 18—six days later. That is our wonderful postal service. —Yours, etc., R.C. June 25, 1946.

[The Chief Postmaster states that if the complaint is submitted to him with full details, an investigation will be made.]
