TEHERAN POLICE FIRE TO BREAK CROWD DEMONSTRATORS SMASH WINDOWS (Rec. 7 p.m.) ‘ TEHERAN, June 24. ■ Police fired 35 shots during a demonstration in Teheran by 2000 unemployed demanding jobs outside the municipal headquarters in the main square. The crowd smashed the windows ot the municipal building and the post office. Police reinforcements nnally broke up the crowd. A high Government official said that this was regarded as the first reaction to the communique from tne Prime Minister of Persia (Ghavam Sultaneh) warning workers’ organisations against interfering with? She Government’s power and threatening heavy punishment for so doing.
