Power Boards’ Conference

Christchurch is to be the venue of the next Dominion conference of the New Zealand Power Boards' and Electrical Supply Association, though Wellington was originally chosen. The conference will be held early in September. The change was made by the executive of the association, at a meeting recently, when it was recalled that a promise had been made that the first post-war conference would be held in the South Island. It is also stated that the accommodation aspect' in Wellington was also taken into account when the matter was discussed by the executive. A mover in having the conference transferred to the South Island was Mr J. Kent, the Grey Electric Power Board’s chairman, who attended the recent meeting of the executive.
