REHABILITATION DEPARTMENT

IVORK MAY CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER TEN YEARS

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 25. The work of the Rehabilitation Department would continue for five years without much abatement and would probably be of a considerable volume in 10 years, said the Minister of Rehabilitation (the Hon. C. F.~ Skinner) to-day. “I think we in New Zealand can feel justly satisfied that we have been, and are, transforming the rehabilitation of our former servicemen and women from the stage of theory into actual accomplished fact,” said Mr Skinner. “We have gone a creditable distance along the road, but much remains to be done before we can sincerely say that the job is completed. “It will probably take anything up to 10 years, or even more.”
