NOISY MOTORCYCLES
CORSAIR CLUB’S RULES A statement made recently by an officer of the traffic department of the Christchurch City Council about noisy motor-cycles was commented on yesterday by the committee of the Christchurch Corsair Motor Club. “All rules of the road are club rules and the infringement, particularly in regard to open exhausts when riding to and from club events, renders the offender liable to instant disqualification for the day.’’-the committee stated. “This rule is rigidly enforced, and the club suggests that most of the present trouble is being caused by irresponsible, non-attached riders who are unwittingly doing the club riders a harm. We would suggest that these persons join a club and learn to ride safely
and sanely, at the same time providing an outlet for their exuberance in events organised for that purpose. ’ ’
