TIMARU WHARF WORKER FOUND DEAD

From Our Own Reporter TIMARU, June 23. Andrew Rukupo, a 35-year-old Maori, employed on the Timaru wharf, was found dead shortly before 8 o’clock on Friday morning, having collapsed. presumably on his way to work. An attendant at the Caroline Bay Massage Institute noticed a bicycle thrown down on the drive running through the bay, and then discovered Rukupo lying on the ground. When assistance was secured it was found the Rukupo was dead. An inquest was opened for identification by the Coroner (Mr C. W. Wood), who ordered a post-mortem and adjourned the inquest sine die.
