BRITISH ARMY’S FUTURE
SECRET CONFERENCE PLANNED LONDON, June 21. “The whole future training, size and disposition of the British Army at home and overseas is to be planned secretly at a conference called by Field-Marshal Lord Montgomery at Camberley from August 12 to August 17,” says the “Evening News.” “Field-Marshal Montgomery has called all Army commanders to the conference. Their decisions will be kept a secret and will be communicated to the Prime Minister only when they are complete. “The present system and number of commands in Britain are expected to be overhauled and cut down. Future commanders will be appointed.”
