(P.A.) . WELLINGTON, June 22. “Consideration of an Imprest Supply Bill will probably occupy the attention of the House on Thursday and Friday,” said the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) last night, referring to the opening of the Parliamentary session. “The Speech from the Throne will be delivered by the Governor-General (Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Freyberg, V.C.) on Wednesday, and the Address-in-Reply debate will open on the following Tuesday, the mover being Mr J. Thorn, M.P. for Thames, and the seconder Mr C. Morgan Williams, M.P. for Kaiapoi. “It is considered possible that while the ‘inter-island ferry service is restricted the House may sit from Monday to Friday and Irom Wednesday to Friday on alternate weeks in order to give the South Island members an opportunity of . visiting their homes once a fortnight.”
