Rich Test Bore for Gold.— The Free State Development Investment Corporation “Freddies”) has announced a complete recovery of 382.5dwt of gold from a bore-hole test on a farm just north of Odenalls Rust. Rumours of a great new strike caused a Stock Exchange boom at the beginning of the month. The sample came from a borehole at a depth of 5729 ft. The core yielded 51dwt over 7.sin.—Cape Town, June 21.
