ALLEGED BITING OF PLAYER
AUSTRALIAN CAPTAIN EXONERATED SYDNEY, June 20. The New South Wales Rugby League last night unanimously cleared the Australian captain, Joe Jorgenson, of the accusation that he bit an Eng'Hhman, J. Kitehing, during the first test. The committee deoided that there was no necessity for Jorgenson to appear before the League, as there was no evidence that he bit Kitehing. A newsreel film of the tackle reveals that Jorgenson’s head was against Kitching’s ribs for about three-quarters of a second. Medical evidence stated that the marks on Kitching’s ribs were not caused by teeth.
