POSTAL DELIVERIES
Sir,—lt is not uncommon for .a letter or small parcel to take three or four days” to reach Dunedin. On Wednesday last, I posted a small packet Id postal fee, at 12 noon, addressed to Dunedin and it had not been delivered up till June 16. On Thursday I sent a parcel by rail. It was handed 111 and delivered in Dunedin on Friday afternoon; another parcel sen l_ by rail, handed in at/7.30 a.m. on Friday was delivered in 4 Dunedin suburb on Saturday. To test the relative efficiency of the Post and Telegraph and Railway Departments, I posted a small parcel at the main post office at 12 boon on a Thursday and one at the railway station at the . sa ?B e day- The postal parcel was delivered on the following Railway Department’! sh ° Uld June 17, 1946 X SER ™.
