LIBERTY
“GUEST IN THE HOUSE” Adapted for the acreen from the Broadway stage play, "Guest in the House," which is the main feature this week at the Liberty Theatre, is a daring presentation of a psychological horror story. The main character is a psychopathic personality, and the impact of this woman, played by Anne Baxter, on a well-ordered family is almost disastrous. The unfolding of the "guest” character and the piling of suspense on suspense makes a most exciting film. The male lead is taken by Ralph Bellamy, who gives a mature and well-rounded performance. A uniformly excellent supporting cast includes Aline MacMahon, Ruth Warrick, and Marie McDonald. The producer was Hunt. Stromberg. The supporting film, “Fiesta,”’ features the lively and exotic background of Mexico and is produced in brilliant
technicolour. A large cast of native Mexican singing and dancing artists is Seen.
