NEW ZEALAND’S DEFENCE OBLIGATIONS
FAIR SHARE WILL BE TAKEN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 20. The Government’s promise that New Zealand would take her share in defence obligations as & member of the British Commonwealth under the United Nations organisation was reiterated by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser), addressing the annual conference of the Labour Party. He said that the whole question would be discussed by Parliament as soon as the necessary information and data were available. While shouldering a fair share of the burden, the New Zealand Government would ever proclaim its support of everything that would promote understanding among the nations.
