HEALTH CAMP WORK IN CHRISTCHURCH
ASHBURTON CHAIRMAN’S COMMENT “Not very much interest is being taken in health camp work at Christchurch—we who came from some distance were disgusted,” said Mr E. C. Bathurst, chairman of the Ashburton Health Camp Committee, at a meeting at Ashburton yesterday when he reported on a meeting of the Christchurch central • council held last Wednesday at Christchurch. The only persons present were representatives from Christchurch, Timaru, and Ashburton, the Medical Officer of Health, the postmaster from Christchurch, and the secretary, he said. “We can get nothing done there. It is really a Wasted afternoon, but I think there will be a big ‘dust-up’ at Wellington next Wednesday at the meeting of the Dominion Advisory Board of the Federation of Health Camps,” remarked Mr Bathurst.
