PARISHIONERS’ ANNUAL MEETING In the absence of the vicar, the Rev. Canon G. Nelham Watson (who was absent on sick leave), the vicar’s warden, Mr Eric L. Cordery, presided at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. John’s Church, Latimer square. In presenting the balance-sheet the treasurer, Mr H. S. Cordery pointed out that the income for the last year had exceeded the expenditure by a small margin. The amount collected during the year for missions was £203 17s 7d. Church officers elected were as follows:—vicar’s warden, Mr Eric L. Cordery; people’s warden. Mr F. C. Ball; synodsman, Mr C. D. W. L. Sheppard; vestry. Messrs N. P. Ball, X B. Beckett, H. S. Cordery, H. A. Jarden, A. W. Pogson, M. L. Roberts, H. Cordery, and C. D. W. L. Sheppard; auditor, Mr C. Maitland Sheppard.
