Prices were not quite as good as at the previous St. Andrews sale, but were fully up to rates ruling during the week. Fat sheep and lambs sold, at late rates, and any lines of store sheep were keenly sought. Ltd., have recommended that a dividend out of mining profits for 1945 of Is 3d a share sterling, less English income tax (9s in the £) be paid on August 12, 1946, to all shareholders registered on July 2, 1946.—(P.A.) Crystal Ice.—The Crystal Ice Company, Ltd., advises that a dividend of 10 per cent, and a bonus of 5 per cent, will be payable on June 27, 1946.—(P.A.) William Watson and Sons.—The Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand has been advised by the Reserve Bank that in connextion with the recently announced call up of capital by the Australian firm of William Watson and Sons, Ltd., New Zealand shareholders will be allowed to remit the amount of capita] from New Zealand if they have no funds in Australia. Shareholders who have Australian funds must use them for the purpose of meeting the call.—(P.A.) Gear Meat.—Advice has been received that at a meeting of directors of the Gear Meat Company, Ltd., it was decided to declare an interim dividend of 6d a share, payable on June 28, 1946.—(P.A.) Entrican Sims.—Entrican Sims and Company, Ltd., earned net profit of £2832 for the year ended March 31, against £2186 last year, and £2291 in 1944. An unchanged dividend of 5 per cent, on both preference and ordinary shares is recommended. Gross profit was £5171 higher at £58,413, and taxation required £5982 against £5626.—(P.5.5.)
