ALUMINIUM FACTORY STRIKE
ACTION BY SYDNEY WORKERS (Rec. 7,30 p.m.) , SYDNEY, June 19 Sydneys torgAt aluminium factory will close down next week because of a strike caused by 16 members of the communist - controlled Ironworkers’. Union The factory belongs to the Australian Aluminium Company Pro. Ltd., and has been operating at Glanville tor six years. It has more than 400 employees. Sixteen ironworkers in the remelt section refused shift work unless they were paid 25 per cent, extra money. The management ruled that this would be contrary to the award end the wage pegging regulations.
