FREEDOM IN SPAIN
Sir, —In a report from Spain from a Chicago “Tribune” staff correspondent, printed in an Australian weekly, occurs this remark: “Few observers here in Spain can deny that, relatively, the Spanish people are enjoying a greater measure of the four freedoms than most European countries.” He adds further on: “Foreign newspapermen are allowed absolute liberty to go where they please throughout the country, which cannot be said for any Russian or Russian-dominated territory.” The writer is by no means sympathetic to the Franco regime.—Yours, etc.. G. F. SEWARD. June 17, 1946.
