DEPUTATION TO RUGBY UNION

FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION’S DECISION It was reported, at last evening’s .meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Football Association, that the Victory Park Board 'of Control had notified the Associaition of its grant of the use of Lancaster Park Oval for the North v. South Association football match, to be played on July 20 (in lieu of July *27). A further communication, however. advised the Association that the Town v. Country Rugby match is to be played on July 20. The Football Association’s management committee decided to approach the Rugby Union requesting that the Association match be played at 3 p.m. The following deputation was selected to meet the Rugby Union, with a view to arranging a percentage of the gate takings:—Messrs C. Sanderson, R. Smith, H. Smythe, A. McAnulty, and J. E. Jones.
