LANCASTER PARK
Sir, —The Canterbury Rugby Union is to be condemned for its attitude towards the League in not allowing the British team to play on Lancaster Park. As one who helped to save the park years ago, I consider that many Rugby players will want to see this match; and the only way to bring the Rugby Union to its senses is to boycott all Rugby games played on Lancaster Park if it does not- allow the British team to play there. Another matter that deserves criticism is the policy of playing the best game each week at Rugby Park. Thisi is most unfair to the hundreds of regular patrons who for years have supported Lancaster Park, with its great advantages of grandstand seating, good playing grounds, and conveniences and nearness to town.—Yours, etc., PATRON.
